Department of Economic Development (DED)
The DED Trader license enables start-ups in Dubai to conduct business activities online and across social networking accounts. The license aims to guide traders towards the right path to enter the business world. Through DED Trader license, Dubai Economy seeks to regulate and enhance ease of doing business electronically.
The DED Trader license is issued electronically wherever you are by visiting dedtrader.ae and following simple steps; create username and password; enter address details, and social media accounts for the project/business; select the activity and trade name and finally pay and receive the license electronically.
Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD)
Preparing and implementing the economic plans in the Emirate. Conducting researches and modernizing investing systems for the proper use of the resources in the Emirate. Facilitating investment. Representing the Ministry of Economy as a competent authority in the application of federal economic laws.
Issuing licenses for the practice of economic activities and controlling the application of economic performance and bettering investment climate as well as making recommendations on federal laws. Collecting and analyzing statistics and conducting economic studies.
Ajman DED
The boom of Ajman’s now well established and highly competitive economy began with the Department of Economic Development (DED), a division of the Municipality and Planning Department, before it became an independent local authority in 2011. During that year, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Ruler of the Emirate of Ajman and a Member of the UAE Supreme Council, issued Emiri Decree No. (1) on the reorganization of the DED in Ajman to achieve the emirate’s sustainable economic development as well as create a fair investment landscape and consumer environment to attract national and foreign investments. The reorganization also sought to provide adequate information and data on the economic activities and investment opportunities in the emirate. 2015, Amiri decree No. (1) of 2015 was issued to upgrade the mechanisms of economic planning in line with the rapid changes of the 21st century. It sought to build an integrated, diversified, sustainable, and competitive economy capable of adopting new economic models that support the emirate’s sustainable development.
Ras Al Khaimah DED
Ras Al Khaimah is one of seven emirates that joined to form the United Arab Emirates on December 2, 1971, with Ras Al Khaimah joining the UAE on February 10, 1972. The other six emirates are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah with Abu Dhabi being the capital of the UAE. The UAE has its own permanent constitution that illustrates the basic rules of the political system as well as the federation’s components and goals. The emirate is governed by a local government under the leadership and guidance of Supreme Council Member and Ras Al Khaimah Ruler, His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, and Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed Bin Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi.
